Another lovely day. Over a covered bridge and up through the Green Mountains with lunch by a ski resort overlooking wide colourful mountain views and another ski resort in the distance. Went through lots of English towns including Chester and Ludlow. Went up the tower at Great Bennington, tallest building in Vermont and 6th highest monument in USA, commemorates a battle holding off the British from capturing a stores depot after their supply lines from Canada were a bit stretched, nice views. Called in at Morse State Airfield Bennington on the off chance. Had a nice wander round and a chat but the guy wasn't there so headed on south. Strange hotel, Red Lion. Very bohemian. We had a room in a separate Steven's guesthouse with lounge and kitchen down stairs.
